Youth Red Cross
Youth represent a substantial part of the membership of Red Cross for its humanitarian
commitment. The YRC is an International Organization, well-known and worldwide
humanitarian organization, present in almost all the countries. YRC was introduced in
the college in the year 2003 – 2004. Youth Red Cross, since its inception, has been
functioning on the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement.
Prevention of accidents, first aid skills, life skills, road safety measures, personal
hygiene, health and hygiene are some of the regular activities.
Objectives of YRC :
To make the Students aware of
- The Youth Red Cross (YRC) revolves around engaging youth in humanitarian
service to alleviate suffering, promote health, and enhance the
well-being of vulnerable individuals and communities.
- This involves conducting health promotion activities, disaster
preparedness and response training, community development initiatives,
and peace-building efforts.
- YRC aims to empower youth through personal development opportunities and
by promoting the fundamental principles of the Red Cross movement.
- Collaboration with other organizations and fostering international
solidarity are also key aspects of YRC's objectives.
- These objectives guide YRC's activities, empowering youth to make
meaningful contributions to society while upholding humanitarian values.
